Trader Joe’s collaborates with hundreds of talented independent artists, illustrators, and licensing agents all over the world to create unique, colorful, and wallet-friendly greeting cards. As the Art Director, I was responsible for all aspects of the design process - from concept, trend research, art direction, project management, design and layout, copywriting, pre-production, and press checks. Collaborating with the industry’s top artists gave me the opportunity to learn new illustration techniques and develop the skill to adapt my hand to match any art style. The following cards are a collection of my favorite designs I developed during my time as Art Director. Designing greeting cards was a natural fit for my sentimental personality, and after producing over 500 designs annually, I got really good at the art of the pun!
